So my rapid ramp up in time on the bike has led to SUPERANGRY hips (outside, at the top of my ITB) and tight hip flexors and tight calves.
I’ve been foam rolling the big muscles and using the stick as much as I can. But there’s deep pain radiating from the outer hip/top of my ITB still. None of my usual stretches or tactics are working.
And yes, I realize I may need to go back to PT for it, but first…

  1. veggielife said: Sounds like your TFL, which is what I injured or overused by having poor (I guess) squat form all summer. I’m currently in PT. Since yours sounds like just tightness, maybe try a lacrosse ball? Google TFL lacrosse ball.
